Jessica Simpson: I'm expecting baby

Jessica Simpson has confirmed what photos and widespread speculation had already indicated: The singer is expecting a baby.
She announced the news in a punning caption to a Halloween photo she tweeted Monday, showing herself wrapped in movie-style mummy dressings, cradling a very visible pregnancy: "It's True! I am going to be a mummy!"
The singer, 31 -- who recorded multiplatinum albums from the early to mid-2000s and has become a congolomerate industry of fashion, fragrance, hair and beauty-product lines -- became engaged to former San Francisco 49ers tight end Eric Johnson last November after she started dating him in May 2010.
She had previously dated Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo for two years.
Simpson wed singer Nick Lachey of boy band 98 Degrees, in 2002, divorcing him in 2006. During their marriage, Simpson and Lachey were the stars of MTV reality series, "Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica."
Johnson, 32, who had separated from his wife of five years, stylist Keri Johnson, before dating Simpson, according to Us Weekly, and who was formally divorced Oct. 7, 2010, has no children. This baby will also be Simpson's first.
Her sister, singer-actress Ashlee Simpson, has a nearly 3-year-old son, Bronx Mowgli, with her ex-husband Pete Wentz, bassist for the band Fall Out Boy.
Pregnancy apparently won't slow Simpson down. She's signed up to be a mentor on the upcoming NBC reality show "Fashion Star" alongside Nicole Richie.
