John Travolta to play the late John Gotti

John Travolta as the Dapper Don?
TMZ.com reported Tuesday that the actor will play the late mob boss John Gotti in a new biopic simply titled "Gotti."
According to the website, Travolta wouldn't confirm the role when questioned at a Los Angeles restaurant Tuesday night. But executive producer Marty Ingels, who dined with Travolta, confirmed the casting.
Sources told TMZ that James Franco ("127 Hours") has been approached to play John Gotti Jr.
The movie is said to be directed and written by Nick Cassavetes ("Alpha Dog").
