Justin Bieber helps Floyd Mayweather Jr. during BET Awards

Boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. was on the red carpet at the BET Awards Sunday when he got news that three of his kids were in a car accident in Los Angeles. He was also on the phone with Justin Bieber at the time, according to TMZ.

When Bieber heard how upset Mayweather was, he drove to the scene of the accident, TMZ reports. Bieber told police he was a family friend and then drove the kids to the awards.

Bieber, 20, and Mayweather, 37, have been pals for some time. On Saturday, they participated in a celebrity basketball game at a pre-BET Awards event.

Diggs' red-carpet date

Taye Diggs wasn't on the market long before new girlfriend Amanza Smith Brown snatched him up. The actor took to the red carpet of the BET Awards with Brown by his side.

Diggs, 43, was looking quite happy and dapper with Brown at the event. The couple has one important factor in common: they both have young children. Diggs' new girlfriend was married to former NFL player Ralph Brown, with whom she has two kids. Diggs has a 4-year-old son, Walker, with his soon-to-be ex, actress-singer Idina Menzel.

Diggs and Menzel, who met in 1996 while in "Rent" on Broadway, announced their split in December after 10 years of marriage.
