k.d. lang breaks up with longtime partner

Singer k.d. lang is splitting up with her longtime domestic partner, Jamie Price.
Reports surfaced Tuesday that the Grammy Award winner, 50, filed a Dissolution of Domestic Partnership form in Los Angeles Superior Court on Dec. 30, citing irreconcilable differences. The filing, submitted under the name Kathryn D. Lang, lists the beginning of their union as Nov. 11, 2009, and their date of separation as Sept. 6, 2011. Lang lives in the Encino neighborhood of Los Angeles and Price in the Studio City section.
The couple, together since 2003, reportedly were introduced by their Buddhism teacher, E! Online said.
Lang and Price have no children, and the filing says division of property and assets are to be determined. Lang requested that neither party be paid support, and that each of them pay their own attorney fees and court costs.
Lang, who won four Grammy Awards between 1989 and 2004, came out as a lesbian in a 1992 article in the magazine The Advocate.
