Katie Holmes' play to close soon

Katie Holmes' return to Broadway will be much shorter than she would have liked, The Associated Press reports.

The former Mrs. Tom Cruise's latest play, "Dead Accounts," will close within a week of the new year. Producers said that the Theresa Rebeck drama will end on Jan. 6 after 27 previews and just 44 performances. The show also stars Norbert Leo Butz.
