Kelly Osbourne resting after head injury

E! "Fashion Police" co-host Kelly Osbourne, the face of Madonna's Material Girl clothing line, was resting in bed Monday after suffering a concussion and a head wound over the weekend in Miami.

Her mother, "The Talk" co-host Sharon Osbourne, said on that CBS daytime show Monday that Kelly, 27, was doing Material Girl promotion and afterward went to a dance club with friends. "She was dancing with somebody who said, 'Teach me how to ballroom dance,' and so she did. And . . . as he dips her down, she hits her head on the amplifier for the DJ. So it split her head open. Anyway, they cleaned it up and . . . she went back to the hotel and fainted twice.

And then they called the ambulance [and] she fainted in the ambulance."

Kelly Osbourne tweeted Sunday, "I cracked my head open then kept passing out" but that "I have the all clear [and] my mum came 2 get me."

"She [has] stitches in her head and she has [a] severe concussion, so she was awake for two days," Sharon Osbourne explained. "She's fine . . . I flew her back home and she's in my bed with my doggy."

Both mother and daughter thanked the staff of Miami's Mercy Hospital, where Kelly was treated and released.
