Lakers player, Kardashian tweet for family
Los Angeles Lakers forward Lamar Odom and his wife, reality-TV star Khloé Kardashian, tweeted condolences to the family of a 15-year-old who died Friday following an accident the day before involving Odom's limousine.
"Thank you for your support and prayers!" Odom, 31, tweeted three days after the boy's death Friday at Elmhurst Hospital Center in Queens. "My thoughts and prayers are with the young boys family . . . " Odom, in New York to attend a cousin's funeral, was in the backseat Thursday when his car hit a motorcyclist in Jamaica, who in turn hit the teen. Unsuccessful emergency surgery was performed on the teen in an attempt to save his life. His funeral was held Monday.
Kardashian was not in the car, her publicist, Jill Fritzo, told ABC News. But she tweeted: "My heart/soul goes out 2every1 in pain from any suffering. Pray 4all of the angels surrounding us constantly. May our spirits stay strong. Above all, love each other deeply, b/c love covers over a multitude of sins."
