New details emerged Monday about the divorce filing by Leah Messer, one of the reality stars of "Teen Mom 2" -- including questions about the documents Messer is seen holding in photographs of her being taped by MTV in a West Virginia park.
Following publication of the photos, blowups of the visible top sheet of paper showed printing not consistent with typical divorce filings or other legal documents, as widespread reports had stated. It is unknown if a divorce filing, typically a one- or two-page document, was among the bundled pages.
Stories online Monday reported that the visible page contained printed Facebook messages, and sparked speculation that Messer's husband, Corey Simms, may have been unfaithful. The few words that were legible said, "You are very attractive" and "Thank you =) so are you . . . well, in a manly way. Lol."
MTV declined to comment.
A Kanawha County clerk confirmed to E! News that, "Leah filed on [Thursday,] April 14." The magazine OK! reported that a clerk with the county's Family Court said Messer, 18, had specified "divorce with children," and that no hearing date has been set.
Messer and Simms, 20, married only six months ago in a ceremony shown on MTV.
The couple have twin 16-month-old daughters, Aleeah and Aliannah, the latter with an unspecified developmental disorder.
