LeAnn Rimes defends her weight loss

Responding to criticism of her weight loss and to a widely circulated photograph showing a remarkably skinny appearance, country crooner LeAnn Rimes fired back on her Twitter page and even posted a photo of a finished meal.

"I am completely healthy! If people only saw how much I ate," the singer wrote in the first of many Tuesday tweets. She said she tucked away a breakfast of "poached eggs, whole wheat toast and Italian ham w/ fresh berries!" and then put up a photo of a mostly clean plate. "[A]ll that's left!," she wrote. "There was a little too much ham for my taste, but it was so good!"

She added, "But everyone will just say I fed it to a dog underneath the table."

Rimes, 28, became engaged to actor Eddie Cibrian in December, leading to speculation that her as-yet-unannounced wedding may be creating stress to lose weight.

"The top of her arm looked like most people's forearms," a fellow partygoer at a charity event last month told E! News. "She looked like skin and bones, it did not seem healthy."

Rimes would beg to differ. "Maybe it's time for a nude pic so peeps can see how I look nowhere near what these stupid pics are trying to make me look like, LOL #joke," she kidded on Twitter.
