Letterman may sign extension for the record
Letterman for long haul?
Is David Letterman about to extend his contract two more years, to 2014? The New York Times said Thursday that an extension is imminent, which would make Letterman the longest-running late-night talk-show host in TV history, Newsday's Verne Gay reports. If Letterman extended his contract to 2014, he will have worked in late-night TV for 32 years; two more than Johnny Carson. There are no further details to announce at this time, CBS said.
