Lindsay Lohan becomes Liz Taylor, shocks TV crew
Actress Lindsay Lohan channels Elizabeth Taylor's look so convincingly on the set of the upcoming Lifetime TV movie "Liz & Dick" that even normally jaded crew members were surprised.
"There was an audible gasp" when Lohan walked onto the set dressed as screen icon Taylor, costume designer Salvador Pérez told People magazine. "You'd swear it was Elizabeth."
Lohan will wear 66 different looks in the 80-minute biopic. The actress, 25, dyed her hair to Taylor's deep brunette and wore opalescent, lavender contact lenses in order match the star's famous eyes, the magazine said. She was costumed in reproductions of Taylor's famous jewelry, including her 33-carat Krupp diamond, and vintage dresses.
"She looks so much like her," hair stylist Beatrice De Alba told People. "There was a moment when she saw her picture on the monitor and said, 'I'm her.' It was thrilling."
The biographical romantic-drama of Taylor and Richard Burton, played by Grant Bowler, follows the two movie stars' lives from 1961 through Burton's death in 1984. It is to air later this year.
