Lindsay Lohan, who has been living in Manhattan since successfully completing court-ordered rehab this summer, reportedly has begun dating former college football player and reality-show star Matt Nordgren.

Following Lohan's posting of an Instagram photo of herself with Nordgren, model Lana Zakocela and property developer Justin Etzin a week ago, People magazine said Lohan and longtime friend Nordgren had progressed to a romantic relationship. Us Weekly also reported the news, confirming that the two are dating.

"We've hung out," Nordgren said recently of himself and Lohan. "But I have been a friend trying to support her for many years now."

Lohan's spokeswoman told Newsday she had no comment.

According to reports, "The Canyons" actress, 27, first met Nordgren, 30, seven years ago through mutual friends in Los Angeles. A backup quarterback at the University of Texas, he was signed by the Philadelphia Eagles after a tryout but let go within three weeks, before the 2006 season began. The Dallas native then joined his family's energy business, Nordco Inc., and founded the spinoff Nordco Consulting.

He appeared in the six-person cast of the 2011 Bravo reality series, "Most Eligible Dallas," along with Courtney Kerr, whom Bravo described as his female best friend. "Lindsay is more than welcome to help herself to my discarded suitors," Kerr tweeted. "Best of luck to them!"

He also has been linked to reality stars Vienna Girardi of "The Bachelorette" and Audrina Patridge of "The Hills," according to People.
