Despite tabloid claims, actress Lindsay Lohan does not appear to be in a rebound relationship with a reported Greek millionaire restaurateur.

The debunking website GossipCop.com says the “Mean Girls” star, 30, who recently broke up with fiance Egor Tarabasov, is not engaged to Dennis Papageorgiou, identified as owner of the restaurants Rakkan Mykonos, on the namesake Greek isle, and Rakkan Athens, in Greece’s capital city.

Press photos over the weekend show Lohan, originally of Cold Spring Harbor and Merrick, vacationing in Greece accompanied by the blond, bearded Papageorgiou. Tabloids including the U.K. newspapers The Sun and the Daily Mirror said she and the restaurateur met in July in Mykonos at her 30th birthday party.

Lohan at the time was engaged to Russian heir Tarabasov, but the two had a highly public screaming match, caught on video, on July 23 at her home in London. She left shortly thereafter to spend time with friends on the Mediterranean island of Sardinia.

The tabloids claimed Papageorgiou had helped save Lohan from an angry Tarabasov by stepping in to break up a fight between the couple. The papers further claimed Papageorgiou has ended his relationship with model Noelle Koutra in order to be with Lohan, and that Lohan is wearing a diamond ring on her ring finger.

GossipCop noted that while Lohan indeed has been seen with a diamond ring, rather than the emerald engagement ring Tarabasov had given her, that piece of jewelry is not new. Saying Lohan has had the ring for some time, the website ran a photograph of her wearing it in 2015.

Lohan has been active on Instagram but has not directly addressed her breakup with Tarabasov except in an Aug. 31 post of herself in a bikini or lingerie, posing seductively on a balcony overlooking a city at night, captioned, “Maybe I go back to blonde? #noboyfriend #stillneedimsorry.” She appeared to credit photographer Terry Richardson for the black-and-white image.
