Actor-entrepreneur Lindsay Lohan, who grew up in Cold Spring Harbor and Merrick, is launching a podcast set for later this year or early next.

"I'm excited to partner with Studio 71 in the development and production of my podcast," Lohan, 35, wrote on Instagram and Facebook Tuesday, referring to the Los Angeles media company that produces series and short-form videos for various streaming services, as well as such podcasts as "Wild 'Til 9" with Lauren Riihimaki and Jeremy Lewis.

"Mean Girls" star Lohan went on to say, "I'm looking forward to connecting more with my fans and having intimate conversations with thought leaders and friends across all industries."

Her mother, Merrick resident Dina Lohan, who hosted the 13-episode podcast "Listen to Me, The OG Mama D" last year, commented on her daughter's Instagram post, "Soo proud of you sweetheart … greatness to come." Lindsay Lohan's younger sister, singer Ali Lohan, wrote, "So proud of you sis! See you soon," while their brother, model Dakota Lohan, the youngest of four siblings, wrote simply, "Finally."

On its own social media, Studio71 said it was "excited to announce that actress, singer, and entrepreneur @lindsaylohan has partnered with us to launch her first-ever podcast. We cannot wait for listeners to hear this never-before-seen side of Lindsay!" The company added on its LinkedIn page that the "untitled podcast is tentatively set for a late 2021/early 2022 release."

On Instagram Stories, where posts cycle out after 24 hours, the studio reposted Lohan's Instagram message and added in graphical text, "We are so excited to share this news!"

Most recently, Lohan starred in season 2 of the 2017-18 U.K. sitcom "Sick Note" and the 2019 werewolf film "Among the Shadows," and she provided a voice in an episode of the animated Syfy series "Devil May Care" earlier this year. Netflix announced in May that Lohan will make her next film appearance in an upcoming romantic comedy "about a newly engaged and spoiled hotel heiress who finds herself in the care of a handsome, blue-collar lodge owner and his precocious daughter after getting total amnesia in a skiing accident."
