Liza Minnelli's Dec. 18 visit to the NYCB Theatre at Westbury has been pushed back to March, due to an injury the Tony Award-winner suffered.
She will now perform on March 23.
"Sadly, Liza Minnelli has confirmed that she did in fact fall and break her ankle in two places," according to a statement from the NYCB Theatre. "Doctors say she must be in a cast for eight weeks and postpone her upcoming concert at Westbury."
Minnelli is also scheduled for a pair of shows with Sam Harris, billed as "Schmoolie & Minnoolie," Sunday and Monday at the Birdland jazz club in Manhattan. Roisin Monaghan, a spokeswoman for Birdland, said Friday that those performances are still on. "It's a very laid-back show, a work-in-progress," she said. "We have a footstool for her."
All tickets for the December performance at Westbury will be valid in March. Tickets, which are $39.50 to $89.50, are available at livenation.com or by calling 800-745-3000. Refunds are available to those who can't make the rescheduled performance.
