Comedian Louis CK delivered a pre-Thanksgiving surprise by performing a spontaneous show at McGuire's Comedy Club in Bohemia on Tuesday night.

Fans got a bargain as they saw the arena headliner deliver a 60-minute set for $12 a ticket. They were alerted via email from the club's mailing list just a few hours before the show.

"I'm working on some new material, which means you guys are basically falling on a grenade for a later, higher-paying audience," said the 48-year-old ginger-haired comic. "The road to a good show are many bad shows. This is one of those shows."

But the star of FX's critically acclaimed award-winning series, "Louie," had the crowd in the palm of his hand from the moment he stepped on stage casually dressed in jeans and a navy blue sweater.

CK riffed on myriad topics, ranging from racism to shopping at J.Crew to sneezing dogs. Occasionally he'd check his notes, but for the most part the comic's lines flowed like he was taping an HBO special.

Long Islanders ate up everything the funny man was serving.

"Louie is very cool," said Sean Gibney, 27, of Wading River. "He says the stuff you think but would never say out loud."
