Madonna responds to photo controversy

Madonna sparked controversy while on vacation in Switzerland on New Year's Eve when she posted a picture of her 13-year-old son, Rocco Ritchie, holding a bottle of gin. The photo, captioned, "The party has just begun! Bring it! 2014," led to backlash from her millions of followers, who found the photo tasteless.
Many of the singer's followers went so far as to say she's a "terrible parent" and "underage drinking is never a joke." Madonna responded Sunday with another Instagram pic featuring the caption, "No one was drinking we were just having fun! Calm down and get a sense of humor! Don't start the year off with judgment!"
