Actor Matthew McConaughey married his longtime girlfriend Camila Alves, the mother of his two children, in Texas on Saturday.
A representative for McConaughey confirmed the nuptials to People magazine. Alves is taking the groom's last name, the rep added.
McConaughey, 42, proposed to the Brazilian model and designer, 29, on Christmas Day, when he posted on his WhoSay.com page "just asked camila to marry me, merry Christmas."
The couple have two children -- son Levi, who turns 4 next month, and daughter Vida, 2.
Wedding guests included actor Woody Harrelson and filmmaker Richard Linklater, according to Us Weekly.
E! Online said guests camped out the night before in the back garden of McConaughey's Austin compound, staying in two-person luxury tents with air-conditioners and patios, though Us and People said the tents were for those staying after the ceremony and reception.
A large white tent was also pitched on the grounds, said E!. The reception included Brazilian top and bottom steak, chicken wrapped in bacon and pork sausages with cheese bread, all from the local Brazilian steakhouse Estância Churrascaria, the site added.
McConaughey and Alves met in a Los Angeles bar in 2006 and began dating soon afterward, according to Us.
Alves hosted season three of Bravo's hairstyling competition "Shear Genius" in 2010. She and her mother own and design the Muxo line of handbags. McConaughey co-stars with Channing Tatum and Alex Pettyfer in Steven Soderbergh's male-stripper movie "Magic Mike," due out June 29, and plays the title role in director William Friedkin's NC-17 drama "Killer Joe," scheduled for release July 27.
