Crooner Michael Bublé, who announced on Friday that he and his wife’s older son had been diagnosed with cancer, has withdrawn from his scheduled appearance Dec. 12 at the BBC Music Awards.

British radio host Steve Wright, of BBC Radio Two’s “Steve Wright in the Afternoon,” informed listeners Tuesday, according to British media. He additionally read a statement from BBC Music director Bob Shennan offering “Michael and his family our very best wishes.”

Grammy Award-winner Bublé, 41, had broken the news on Facebook that 3-year-old Noah, one of his two children with actress wife Luisana Lopilato, “is currently undergoing treatment in the US.”

They have a younger son, Elias, born in January.
