Michael Kors leaving 'Runway'
Michael Kors has bid "auf Wiedersehen" to "Project Runway," Newsday's Anne Bratskeir reports. The LI-raised designer who served as judge on the reality fashion competition show for 10 seasons cited scheduling difficulties as the reason for his departure. For season 11, Zac Posen will take his place. Posen, who is widely known for his dramatic, elegant evening wear, told The Associated Press, "This was an amazing opportunity. I'm here to give a new perspective to the designers." Kors was known for his acerbic zingers to describe various outfits, using phrases such as, "a transvestite flamenco dancer at a funeral."
