Michael Strahan could be 'Live!' co-host
Michael Strahan seems to be Kelly Ripa's choice to replace Regis Philbin as co-host of "Live!," Newsday's Verne Gay reports. Citing multiple sources with knowledge of the situation, the respected trade magazine Broadcasting & Cable said Tuesday that Strahan, one of the greatest defensive ends in Giants history, will be named co-host on Sept. 4. Strahan -- a frequent guest co-host on "Live!" since Philbin retired in November -- has been mentioned often as the front-runner. If named, he's expected to remain an analyst with Fox's "NFL Sunday." A spokeswoman for "Live!" declined to comment.
