Miley Cyrus, Liam Hemsworth may now be married, reports say

Did singer Miley Cyrus and actor Liam Hemsworth marry on Sunday?

Speculation ran rampant after their friend Conrad Carr, an animal-rescue activist and former pro surfer, posted photos and videos on his verified Instagram Story account showing the high-profile duo and family members at what appeared to be a small wedding celebration or perhaps rehearsal dinner.

Numerous media outlets posted images taken at what they identified as a home that the California couple own in Cyrus' native Franklin, Tennessee. One that particularly suggests nuptials depicts "Wrecking Ball" singer Cyrus, 26, wearing an off-the-shoulder white gown, and Australia-born "Hunger Games" star Hemsworth, 28, both holding the same knife, apparently to cut a two-tiered cake decorated in white frosting. Other photos show the couple standing near puffy "Mr. & Mrs." balloons.

In one image, Hemsworth, in a black suit with a boutonniere and wearing white sneakers, stands with his actor brothers, Chris Hemsworth, 35, and Luke Hemsworth, 37, in a line doing a "shotski" — alcohol shots spaced along a downhill ski so that multiple people can drink them simultaneously.

Additional images depict Cyrus' mother, Tish Cyrus, and sisters, Noah and Brandi. One is a close-up of a tear-streaked Noah, with a large broken-heart emoji superimposed in one corner.

Representatives for Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus have not responded to numerous outlets' requests for comment. Neither star has posted on social media about the event.

The two began a romance after meeting on the set of their coming-of-age romantic drama, "The Last Song," in 2009. They broke up and reunited at least twice before becoming engaged in 2012, but then called off the engagement in September the following year. They reconciled by January 2016, and photos emerged that month of Cyrus and a movers' truck as she appeared to be moving into Hemsworth's since-destroyed Malibu, California, home, and wearing what appeared to be her old engagement ring.
