Nyle DiMarco, reality-TV star, heading to Chippendales as celebrity guest host
Channing Tatum, look out. Nyle DiMarco, the smoldering 27-year-old model and reality star, is set to bring his specific set of skills (looking good) to Sin City.
The winner of both "America's Next Top Model" and "Dancing With the Stars" recently announced that he'll be the latest celebrity guest host at Chippendales in Las Vegas. Yep, Chippendales - the strip teasing male dance troupe - is still going strong.
"Chippendales is an iconic brand and legendary show - headlining a production like this with such a talented cast of performers is a once-in-a-lifetime experience!" DiMarco, who is deaf, told People magazine in a statement.
This is an edgy move for the boy-next-door celebrity who rose to fame as "ANTM's" first deaf winner and expertly rode the ensuing wave to supporting roles on television and eventually taking home a "Dancing With the Stars" trophy.
Other celebrities who've donned Chippendales' iconic black bow tie and white cuffs? Tyson Beckford, star of the "Magic Mike" rip off "Chocolate City," and Antonio Sabàto Jr., last seen at the Republican National Convention in July.
According to an online review of the Las Vegas show at the Rio All-Suites Hotel and Casino, Chippendales is like "a sexy man variety show." The performers, all beefed-up "Baywatch" types, do a little dancing wearing fewer and fewer clothes in front of a crowd made up mostly of bachelorette parties.
