Model Summer Bunni, claiming to have been the lover of rapper Offset, has apologized to his wife, rap star Cardi B, for an affair that may have precipitated the married couple's separation.

"I have not messed with Offset since he had his baby," the Instagram model, who gives her age as 20, says in a video posted at TMZ.com. Hours before, Cardi B had announced she and her husband of 14 months had separated. "I didn't know how serious his marriage was," Bunni asserts, adding, "I kind of see things, but … it took until today to actually, like, get into this, seeing everything."

Tearfully saying that unlike some women she would never brag about being the cause of divorce, Bunni conceded that, "I feel ashamed. … I'm just coming from me to Cardi B and, like, her fans and to her family, her situation, these were never my intentions and I never wanted to break up a happy home."

Answering someone off-camera in what seems a different video session, Bunni, who says she graduated from Detroit's Wayne State University in 2015, says, "No, I have not spoken to Cardi B, but I would like her to know that I'm a very genuine person. … I'm not here to break up her family," she says, beginning to cry, "or mess up what she has going on with her husband. And I'm very sorry that this was happening, and I'm very sorry that I didn't think about my worth as the young lady, and I just hope that she can overcome this and I know that her and Offset actually do have love for each other. I can tell. So I just hope with this she can actually just focus on her love for Offset."

Cardi B, 26, born Belcalis Almanzar, and Offset, also 26, born Kiari Kendrell Cephus, secretly married in September 2017 and have a nearly 5-month-old daughter, Kulture Kiari Cephus. Despite having publicly said that she'd like to keep her daughter's identity private, Cardi B posted the first image of Kulture on Instagram Wednesday. The child, wearing a pink outfit including a bib sporting her name, appears to be in a portable car seat. "My heart," wrote her mom in the accompanying caption, alongside a heart emoji.

Bunni additionally posted to her nearly 50,000 Instagram followers that, "I will always be woman enough to admit when I'm wrong, and in this situation I was. Seeing another woman's pain does not bring me any joy . . . always been for women supporting each other but in this situation, not only myself but others have failed. …This is not a letter for sympathy but acknowledgment to everyone whom [sic] has questions."

Meanwhile, less than 24 hours after announcing her split from her husband, Cardi B was spotted partying at a nightclub to kick off Miami’s Art Basel, reports The Associated Press. The rapper sported long, rainbow-streaked hair and a skintight black dress at 24/7 ultra-club E11EVEN MIAMI on Wednesday night. When the DJ played her hits, including “Bodak Yellow” and “Drippin,” which features her ex, Offset, Cardi B grabbed the microphone and sang along.

Cardi B has not responded to the apology on social media, and her representative did not respond to a Newsday request for comment.
