Following her rocker husband Ozzy Osbourne's surgery in Los Angeles Monday, English talk-show host Sharon Osbourne on Tuesday took to social media to thank and reassure those concerned with the 73-year-old singer's health.

"Our family would like to express so much gratitude for the overwhelming amount of love and support leading up to Ozzy's surgery!” she wrote on Twitter, Instagram Stories and Facebook. "Ozzy is doing well and on the road to recovery! Your love means the world to him," she concluded, adding a praying-hands emoji.

None of the couple's children, musician Aimée Osbourne, 38, and TV personalities Kelly Osbourne, 37, and Jack Osbourne, 36, has commented publicly about their father, former frontman of the seminal 1970s and '80s heavy-metal band Black Sabbath. Sharon Osbourne, 69, revealed on her U.K. panel-discussion show "The Talk" last week that, "He has a very major operation on Monday, and I have to be there" in Los Angeles for it. She added, "It's really going to determine the rest of his life."

She did not elaborate on the nature of the surgery. Ozzy Osbourne had confirmed in 2020 long-standing rumors that he has Parkinson's disease. He canceled the North American leg of his tour that year to undergo treatment for the progressive nervous-system disorder.

Additionally, the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer, born John Michael Osbourne, was badly hurt in a 2003 all-terrain vehicle (ATV) accident. A fall at home in 2019 exacerbated the lingering injury, requiring 15 screws to be inserted into his spine. Earlier in 2019 he postponed or canceled tour dates due to an upper-respiratory infection that led to pneumonia.

On Monday morning, Ozzy Osbourne or his social-media person posted an image from his 2010 album "Scream" on Instagram Stories, where posts cycle out after 24 hours, with graphical-text lyrics from his song "I Love You All": "For all these years you've stood by me / God bless, I love you all."
