Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr to perform at Grammys

The Grammys have added fuel to its planned weekend of celebrating Beatlemania by booking a performance from Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, the Los Angeles Times reports.

McCartney and Starr are slated to receive the Recording Academy's lifetime achievement award the day before the Jan. 26 telecast. The night after the big show, the legacy of the Fab Four will be feted with a performance special.

"The Night That Changed America: A Grammy Salute to the Beatles," will mark the Beatles' first appearance on "The Ed Sullivan Show." A reunited Eurythmics along with a host of talent in town for the Grammys will perform Beatles' tunes for the special.

The CBS special will be filmed at the Los Angeles Convention Center and air on Feb. 9 at 8 p.m., exactly 50 years to the very moment of the Beatles' historic performance (carried on CBS as well).

Meanwhile, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Kacey Musgraves, John Legend, Taylor Swift and Keith Urban have also been added to lineup of performers for the Grammy Awards.
