Pauly D seeking custody of baby girl, report says

Former "Jersey Shore" star Paul DelVecchio, a.k.a. Pauly D, reportedly is seeking custody of the baby girl born of a brief encounter in Las Vegas last year.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ.com, DelVecchio and the baby's mother, Amanda L. Markert, are divided over where the case will be heard. DelVecchio prefers Nevada, which TMZ says is more father-friendly than Markert's choice, New Jersey, where she lives.

TMZ said Wednesday that the infant -- named Amabella Sophia, according to captioned photos on Markert's Instagram page -- was born May 15 and that DelVecchio, whom a DNA test confirmed is the father, has not yet met the child in person.

"My poor, innocent daughter being exploited," Markert tweeted Wednesday without details. "People should be ashamed involving an infant."

Markert's Facebook page says she graduated from Absegami High School in Galloway, N.J., in 2005, receiving an associate degree in science from Atlantic Cape Community College in Cape May in 2010, and then studying forensic psychology at Richard Stockton College of New Jersey in Pomona before leaving the school in 2013. She works at The Pool After Dark at Harrah's Resort Atlantic City doing VIP bottle service.

According to her Instagram posts, she also has a son named Michael Ethan, 5.
