<a href="/topics/Portia_de_Rossi">Portia de Rossi</a> of "<a href="/topics/Arrested_Development_%28TV_show%29">Arrested Development</a>" has been cast as vampire housewife Lily Munster in "Mockingbird Lane," <a href="/topics/NBC">NBC's</a> one-hour drama revival of the 1960s sitcom "The Munsters." 
 <a href="/topics/TV_Guide">TV Guide</a> Wednesday said de Rossi, 39, would step into the role originally played by <a href="/topics/Yvonne_De_Carlo">Yvonne De Carlo</a>. She joins the previously cast <a href="/topics/Jerry_O%27Connell">Jerry O'Connell</a>, who plays her Frankenstein's Monster-like husband, Herman Munster; Mason Cook as their werewolf son, Eddie; <a href="/topics/Eddie_Izzard">Eddie Izzard</a> as Grandpa, also a vampire; and Charity Wakefield as Eddie's cousin Marilyn. 
 Mariana Klaveno, who played the vampire Lorena on <a href="/topics/HBO">HBO</a>'s "<a href="/topics/True_Blood">True Blood</a>," had originally been set to play Lily, <a href="/topics/TV_Guide">TV Guide</a> reported, but she could not be released from her contract with the <a href="/topics/Marc_Cherry">Marc Cherry</a> pilot "Devious Maids." That show was not picked up by <a href="/topics/ABC">ABC</a> but is reportedly being offered to Lifetime. 
 The re-imagined series was created by Bryan Fuller (<a href="/topics/Pushing_Daisies">"Pushing Daisies"</a>), with the pilot directed by executive producer <a href="/topics/Bryan_Singer">Bryan Singer</a>.
