Singer Avril Lavigne and her boyfriend, reality TV star Brody Jenner, reportedly were hurt in a fight at the famed Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood early Sunday morning.
"I got attacked by 5 people last night out of nowhere," Lavigne, 27, tweeted Sunday night. "Not cool. My face is ----. As in black eye, bloody nose, hair ripped out, scratches, bruises and cuts. So not ok to be abusive to others. Violence is NEVER the answer."
A photo of her posted at TMZ.com, said to be taken immediately after the altercation, showed no apparent injuries, but Jenner, 28, was photographed with a bloody forehead.
Lavigne's representatives did not respond to a Newsday request for comment.
While a Los Angeles Police Department spokesman could not confirm the alleged incident to People magazine Monday, TMZ said that a fight began between Lavigne and another young woman shortly before 1 a.m. Sunday. When Jenner -- son of 1970s Olympic decathlete Bruce Jenner and stepbrother of Kim Kardashian and her sisters -- intervened, a man hit him on the head with a bottle.
TMZ said hotel security stopped the brawl and detained all involved, yet all except Jenner had left the scene by the time LAPD arrived. He was listed in a police report as the victim of an assault with a deadly weapon, TMZ said, adding that he refused medical attention and took himself to a hospital. No arrests were made as of Monday.
Jenner, who appeared on Fox's "The Princes of Malibu" and MTV's "The Hills" and "Bromance," tweeted on Sunday, "Interesting Saturday night. . . . Just got [out] of the hospital with a new scar on my face."
