Report: Lindsay Lohan taken to hospital after car accident

Lindsay Lohan has been involved in a car accident Friday and was taken to the emergency room of a Los Angeles hospital, TMZ is reporting.

The website said Lohan was driving her black Porsche on Pacific Coast Highway when it slammed into the back of an 18-wheeler, totaling her car.

The passenger window was shattered and the bumper was fully off her car. Debris was scattered on the road.

TMZ said the actress did not go to the hospital by ambulance.

Doctors were performing tests on Lohan, although there was no immediate word on her condition.
