Reports say Beyoncé, Jay-Z are expecting
Pop star Beyoncé Knowles has been reported pregnant before, most recently in March, and she's being reported pregnant again.
This time, however, Knowles' younger sister, fellow recording artist Solange Knowles, appeared to verify Us Weekly's story, telling the magazine in its report Wednesday "She's got the most beautiful heart. . . . She'll be a great mom."
Likewise, record executive Kevin Liles, a friend of Beyoncé's rapper husband Jay-Z, told Us, "Jay has been all about family since I met him, and he's always going to be. I wish them the best."
"B was shocked" at the news, a source told Us. "She loves kids, but she wasn't ready to be a mother just yet. . . . She really wanted to get her album done and tour the world again," the source added, referring to the singer's in-progress fourth studio album.
A second source said Knowles, 29, is in her first trimester and realizes "this is a gift from God and she's so happy."
The singer, listed at No. 9 on Forbes magazine's World's 100 Most Powerful Women list, married hit-maker and New Jersey Nets co-owner Jay-Z, 40, in 2008.
Representatives for Knowles and Jay-Z have not commented on the report.
