Reports: Taylor Swift, Harry Styles split

Singer Taylor Swift, 23, and Harry Styles, 18, of the English-Irish boy band One Direction, have broken up after a brief courtship, People magazine reports. The two were seen as a couple during a November taping of Fox's "The X Factor," on which One Direction and Swift performed on separate episodes. The two partied in Manhattan Dec. 6, the magazine said, and were in northern England together on her birthday, Dec. 13. The two reportedly broke up during a trip to the British Virgin Islands between New Year's Eve and Swift's solo return to the United States on Jan. 4.
