Rosie O'Donnell's daughter Chelsea missing; police search ongoing in Nyack, comedian says
Comedian Rosie O'Donnell's teenage daughter has gone missing.
Tuesday afternoon, O'Donnell, 53, posted on her website, rosie.com, that police in Nyack, where the former "View" co-host and her family live, were searching for 17-year-old Chelsea O'Donnell, who was last seen last Tuesday, Aug. 11.
"She was wearing a black sweatshirt hoodie, dark ripped blue jeans, women's gray converse sneakers and a black backpack," the notice said. "Chelsea has a large tattoo on her right side of a dream catcher with the word 'Breathe.' She left home with her 6-month-old therapy dog named Bear. The dog is a 9 lb. brown and black terrier. Chelsea stopped taking her medicine and is in need of medical attention. Any information please contact authorities at 845-358-0206 or 911."
Early Tuesday afternoon, Commack native O'Donnell added on her Facebook page, "My daughter Chelsea and her dog Bear -- last seen in Nyack, New York -- may be in NYC" and gave the phone numbers above.
O'Donnell adopted Chelsea Belle in 1997. The comedian has four other children: Parker Jaren, adopted in 1995; Blake Christopher, adopted with then-partner Kelli Carpenter in 1999; Vivienne Rose, born to Carpenter through artificial insemination; and daughter Dakota, adopted in January 2013 by O'Donnell and her then-wife, Michelle Rounds.
