Responding to public concern over reports on Wednesday that her eldest daughter had been hospitalized, Rosie O’Donnell has reassured fans that 19-year-old Chelsea O’Donnell is fine after psychiatric admittance to a Long Island medical center.

“She is ok ....” the Commack-born comedian, 54, tweeted of Chelsea O’Donnell, who has an acknowledged but unspecified mental-health issue. “#RealLife #chillymy,” Rosie O’Donnell added.

Chelsea O’Donnell — who made headlines in August 2015 when she went missing in what eventually was revealed as her having run away from home — was admitted to the unidentified hospital under a New York State emergency program, E! News said Wednesday. She was being evaluated by social workers, psychiatrists and other mental-health professionals and was going to be released, added the entertainment-news service.

“Chelsea, like millions of people, lives with mental illness,” Rosie O’Donnell’s spokeswoman, Cindi Berger, told Newsday last year. At the time, O’Donnell had posted on her website that, “Chelsea may have stopped taking her prescribed medication and may be in need of medical attention.”

Chelsea, adopted in 1997, and Rosie O’Donnell have had a fractious relationship during the girl’s teenage years, but appear to have reconciled. Rosie O’Donnell posted an Instagram photo of themselves on Aug. 24, captioned, “happy birthday chelsea belle !!! 19 today #believe.”

The comedian has four other children: sons Parker, 21, adopted in 1995, and Blake, 16, adopted with then-partner Kelli Carpenter in 1999; and daughters Vivienne, 13, born to Carpenter through artificial insemination; and Dakota, 3, adopted in January 2013 by O’Donnell and her then-wife, Michelle Rounds.
