ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" has reached out to Lindsay Lohan, but she turned down the offer, the actress' mother said Tuesday.
"We are huge fans of the show and think it's incredible," Dina Lohan told RadarOnline.com. "We'll watch it, but it is not going to happen.
"Lindsay," she added, "actually told the woman at 'Dancing With The Stars' who made the offer that, 'You need to take my mom!' "
Lindsay Lohan is in inpatient drug and alcohol rehab at the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, Calif., through at least Jan. 3, the date imposed by a Los Angeles judge in October at a probation hearing stemming from her 2007 DUI convictions. She is scheduled to return to court in late February.
"Lindsay is a great dancer, but she's taking a break right now," Dina Lohan said. "She has been through a lot. . . . She just needs to come out healthy and happy."
Meanwhile, Michael Lohan, Lindsay's father, told Newsday no decision had been made yet on whether the Long Island-raised actress would be allowed to come to New York for the holidays.
