Brooke Mueller Sheen has checked into rehab for substance abuse, according to several reports.

Mueller Sheen checked into the Canyon treatment center in Malibu on Feb. 9, a family insider told E! Online.

This was a day after her husband Charlie Sheen was formally charged with felony and misdemeanor counts related to their Christmas Day fight. The two traveled back to Los Angeles on Sheen's private plane after the judge relaxed the terms of a protective order barring Sheen from having contact with her.

Mueller Sheen is in rehab for crack addiction, RadarOnline.com reported.

"Brooke has been in denial about her problem for a long time," a source told the Web site.

RadarOnline.com reported previously that Mueller Sheen was treated for crack addiction years ago as an inpatient at a Los Angeles facility.

Earlier this month, Mueller Sheen and her lawyer Yale Galanter denied reports that she was getting detox treatment in North Carolina, instead insisting she was recovering from pneumonia following emergency oral surgery.

Galanter declined to comment about the most recent rehab report.

"She wants to get better for the babies," a source told E!, noting that Mueller Sheen chose a West Coast facility to be close to her and Sheen's twin boys, who turn 1 next month.

It was unclear how long Mueller Sheen's treatment would last.
