You might think performers have cushy jobs, singing and acting for a living. But dancing in heels, working near flaming special effects and pulling off stunts can prove dangerous. These stars have experienced firsthand the on-the-job hazards that come with the territory.

Enrique Iglesias

Enrique Iglesias continued to perform after being injured May, 30, 2015, during a concert in Tijuana, Mexico. At one point, he held his bloodied and bandaged right hand behind his back. A representative for the singer said Iglesias was "semi-treated" offstage after his fingers were sliced when he grabbed a drone during the concert.

Carrie Underwood

Carrie Underwood caught her high heel in her costume and slipped backward on Sept. 6, 2013, during a concert in Texas. She later tweeted a photo of her foot and an uplifting message to her fans: "Good news, it's not broken . . . AND I got some new footwear!"

Jennifer Lawrence

While filming "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1" in late 2013, actress Jennifer Lawrence choked on fumes from a faulty fog and smoke machine, according to media reports at the time.

Gene Simmons

Gene Simmons set his hair ablaze during a New Year's Eve concert on Dec. 31, 1973, at the Academy of Music in Manhattan. That was the first time Simmons attempted his now-signature fireball trick during a Kiss concert, but it wasn't the only time things went awry: Simmons has said the stunt has resulted in similar accidents at least a half dozen times since.

Michael Clifford

Michael Clifford, a guitarist with 5 Seconds of Summer, was burned Saturday evening, June 13, 2015, when his hair caught fire during pyrotechnics at a concert in London's Wembley Arena.

Beyonce

Beyonce took a spill down a flight of stage steps during a 2007 concert in Florida (but continued singing as if nothing had happened) and got her hair caught in the an onstage fan during a 2013 show in Montreal. She kept singing "Halo," while staff worked to detangle her hair from the blades of the fan.

Shia LaBeouf received stitches to his head and hand after suffering an injury on the North Dakota set of the film ?American Honey.? A publicist for LaBeouf said on Wednesday, June 24, the actor?s injuries were ?minimal.? The accident occurred while shooting a scene scene in which the actor was to put his head through a glass window.

Madonna

Madonna fell down a flight of stairs on Feb. 25, 2015, during a performance at the Brit Awards 2015 in London. She was reportedly unhurt and finished the set.

Ben Stiller
