Sue Simmons' brief return to TV this fall

Sue Simmons shooting role on 'Law & Order: SVU'Former WNBC / 4 anchorwoman Sue Simmons will briefly return to TV in September with a cameo on "Law & Order: SVU," Newsday's Verne Gay reports. NBC Wednesday confirmed a report that said she'll play a reporter covering a scandal that's enveloping the NYPD and Manhattan district attorney's office. The network said she'll return to the set Monday to continue shooting her role. Simmons already boasts a handful of acting credits in the mid-to-late-1990s, including 1996's "The First Wives Club."
