Swift tops Billboard's 2013 Money Makers list
Taylor Swift has topped Billboard magazine's annual Money Makers list of the music industry's highest-earning performers. Its data -- supplied by Nielsen SoundScan, Nielsen BDS and Billboard Boxscore, which counts touring, music sales and publishing royalties but not sponsorships or merchandising -- put the 24-year-old Swift's earnings for the past year at $39,699,575.60. Kenny Chesney was second, with nearly $33 million, and Justin Timberlake third, with nearly $31.5 million. Among classic-rock veterans, The Rolling Stones were at fifth place with $26.2 million and Fleetwood Mac hit No. 10 with $19.1 million.
