Aretha Franklin says her health is 'superb'

A month after surgery in Detroit for an undisclosed ailment, Aretha Franklin says her health is "superb," AP reports. Franklin called in to Wednesday's installment of "The Wendy Williams Show," telling the host she was relaxing at a casino hotel in her hometown and hopes to begin traveling soon, saying she'll be "looking for a fabulous beach." She says she has two more weeks of down time as she continues her recovery. The legendary singer also vowed to reschedule the concert dates she missed.

Original cast of 'God of Carnage' to reunite

The original Broadway cast of the Tony Award-winning "God of Carnage" will reunite for a six-week run at the Ahmanson Theatre, AP reports. Jeff Daniels, Hope Davis, James Gandolfini and Marcia Gay Harden - together with director Matthew Warchus - are set to resume their darkly comic domestic battles from April 5 through May 15. The play, by "Art" playwright Yasmina Reza, is set in Brooklyn where two couples meet to sort out a playground fight between their sons. The meeting soon spirals out of control.

Snooki says she's over her nickname

Nicole Polizzi is a little over herself. Well, not herself, but her nickname: Snooki. The "Jersey Shore" star says the moniker that helped make her famous has gotten a little old. "I miss my real name. I miss people calling me Nicole," she said. Last month, MTV confirmed cast member Paul "DJ Pauly D" DelVecchio would be getting his own spinoff. As for rumors Polizzi will follow suit with her own show, she said she's open to the possibility. "There hasn't been any talk. . . . Of course if the opportunity is given to me, I'm gonna run with it," she said.
