Giuliani to host AMC's mob-movie week
Rudy Giuliani will host AMC's "Mob Week," seven days of mob-themed movies, Newsday's Verne Gay reports. The former New York mayor and federal prosecutor -- he fought organized crime -- will talk about his love of the classic films, "as well as his connection to real-life mobsters," AMC said in a statement. Among the films are "The Godfather" (Aug. 1), "Scarface" (Aug. 4) and "Pulp Fiction" (Aug. 7).
It's a boy for Selma Blair
Actress Selma Blair and her fashion-designer boyfriend, Jason Bleick, are the proud parents of a son, People magazine reports. Arthur Saint Bleick was born Monday, weighing 7 pounds, 12 ounces. The couple, who met while working on Bleick's line EVER, had chosen not to know the sex of their baby until the child was born. Blair's best-known roles were in films such as "Cruel Intentions," "Legally Blonde" and "Hellboy."
Actress, girlfriend to wed
Heather Matarazzo has played some tough parts in her career -- from Dawn Weiner in "Welcome to the Dollhouse" to Sadie Atkins in the upcoming "Manson Girls." But the actress sees her next role as the most important, The Associated Press reports. With New York becoming the sixth state to legalize same-sex marriage, Matarazzo, 28, plans to wed longtime girlfriend Caroline Murphy. But the couple had no desire to make history Sunday by getting married on the first day the law took effect. "I always wanted a wedding," Murphy says. "Not a trip to City Hall."
