Longoria's divorce becomes official
"Desperate Housewives" star Eva Longoria's divorce from pro basketball star Tony Parker was finalized by a Texas court, according to her publicist, CNN.com reports. Anderson Group Public Relations issued a short statement confirming the divorce Monday. The couple filed for divorce in November after reports surfaced that she found evidence he was cheating with the wife of a fellow San Antonio Spurs player. She filed in Los Angeles and he filed in Bexar County, Texas. The couple were married for three years.
Downey tapped as Oscar presenter
Academy Award-nominated actor Robert Downey Jr. will be a presenter at the 83rd Academy Awards ceremony, producers Bruce Cohen and Don Mischer announced Monday, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Downey earned Oscar nominations for his leading role in "Chaplin" (1992) and his supporting role in "Tropic Thunder" (2008). Downey recently made headlines when he criticized Golden Globe awards host Ricky Gervais, calling his performance "mean-spirited with mildly sinister undertones."
'Survivor' winner may return behind bars
Reality TV star Richard Hatch, who spent more than 3 years behind bars for tax evasion, should go to jail for violating the conditions of his supervised release, federal prosecutors recommended Monday, according to The Associated Press. Hatch was convicted in 2006 of failing to pay taxes on the $1 million prize he won on the debut season of CBS' "Survivor." the CBS reality TV show. He was released from prison in 2009 and began serving a 3-year term of supervised release. As a condition of release, Hatch was ordered to file amended tax returns for 2000 and 2001 as a condition of his release, which he has failed to do.
