Sean Hayes to host Tony Awards show

Sean Hayes will be the host of the Tony Awards next month, The Associated Press reports. The former "Will & Grace" actor is working on Broadway alongside Kristin Chenoweth in "Promises, Promises." He has a Tony nomination for best actor in a musical for the role. CBS made the announcement yesterday. The network is broadcasting the Tonys live from Radio City Music Hall in New York on June 13.


Paula coming back to judge dancing competition

As Simon Cowell leaves the reality-show judge's chair, his old foil, Paula Abdul, is coming back, AP reports. CBS said Monday that Abdul will be a judge on "Got to Dance," a competition expected to make it on the air sometime next season. She'll also be an executive producer for the series, which is based on a successful competition that airs in Britain. There was no immediate word on when "Got to Dance," which will feature various forms of dancing, will go on the air.


Jonas, Lovato break up

Joe Jonas and girlfriend Demi Lovato have called it quits, a source told Us. Jonas, 20, dumped Lovato, 17, over the phone. "He didn't have the heart to do it in person," according to the source. Nevertheless, the duo will still be hitting the road together this summer, starting July 27 in Dallas (and coming to Jones Beach on Aug. 21.) The pair, who went public with their relationship in March, first met on the set of "Camp Rock" in 2007.


Kiss sets date for beach show

Get ready to don the kabuki makeup: Kiss will play Nikon at Jones Beach Theater Aug. 14 with The Academy Is . . . . The legendary rock band announced its "Hottest Show on Earth" tour yesterday (yes, the guys played a farewell tour about a decade ago). The Hottest Show starts in Cheyenne, Wyo., July 23. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. June 5 through livenation.com. No pricing was announced. Also at the beach, John Mayer added a second show. Mayer and Train will now also play July 22. Tickets go on sale 10 a.m. June 12 through livenation.com.
