Mag: Eddie Murphy, Toni Braxton dating

Actor-comedian Eddie Murphy has been quietly dating singer and reality-show star Toni Braxton for four months, Us Weekly said Wednesday. A rep for Braxton, 44, who has been separated from singer husband Keri Lewis since 2009, told the magazine, "Toni and Eddie are just friends and have been fans of each other's work for a long time." The Roosevelt-raised Murphy, 50, was backstage at Braxton's Feb. 19 concert in Los Angeles, Us said. Grammy-winner Braxton stars with her four sisters and her mother in WE's "Braxton Family Values."

Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner reveal newborn son's name

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have announced the name of their third child, born Monday, Newsday's Frank Lovece reports. "We are happy to announce [that] on Feb. 27, Jennifer gave birth to a healthy baby boy, Samuel Garner Affleck," wrote Affleck, 39, on his Facebook page Wednesday. He and former "Alias" star Garner, also 39, have two other children, Violet, 6, and Seraphina, 3. Garner is set to appear next in the ensemble comedy "Butter" and later this year in the Disney film "The Odd Life of Timothy Green." Affleck most recently directed and starred in "The Town."

Lifetime signs Bristol Palin's show

Lifetime has picked up "Bristol Palin: Life's a Tripp," a reality series that will provide an "exclusive, rare glimpse" into Palin's life, the cable channel announced Wednesday. The series will show Palin, 21, dealing with the pressures of raising her toddler son Tripp alone, while maintaining the relationship she has with her parents, former Alaska governor and vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin and Todd, and her siblings. There's no airdate yet for the reality series.
