Tim Burton in talks for 'Beetlejuice' sequel

Is "Beetlejuice" coming back? Tim Burton, director of the 1988 horror-comedy classic starring Michael Keaton as the titular ghost, Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis as a newbie-ghost couple and Winona Ryder as the sullen teen who can see them, is in talks to direct a sequel, TheWrap.com reports. Burton, who has spoken for at least two years of his desire to do a sequel, is finishing "Big Eyes" -- based on husband-wife artists Margaret and Walter Keane, whose big-eyed children paintings were a creepy mainstay of baby-boomer homes -- for August and reportedly has "Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children" set for summer 2015, says Deadline.com.
