Hanks extends Broadway runTom Hanks has extended his contract and will continue to star as real-life newsman Mike McAlary in Broadway's "Lucky Guy" through July 3, Newsday's Frank Lovece reports. The producers announced Thursday they had added 16 performances of writer Nora Ephron's final work, playing at the Broadhurst Theatre. The play and Hanks have garnered glowing reviews, with Newsday theater critic Linda Winer calling the star "spectacularly protean." Maura Tierney, Christopher McDonald, Peter Scolari and Richard Masur also star in the production.
