Twilight's Reed weds Idol's McDonald

"Twilight" start Nikki Reed and "American Idol" finalist Paul McDonald, who became engaged in June after just two months of dating, were married on Sunday.

"We couldn't be happier!" Reed, 23, and McDonald, 27, told Us Weekly. "[We were] surrounded by our family and friends. We're so glad this day has come!"

The two were wed at a private ranch in Malibu, Calif., before 100 guests, Reed's representative told the magazine.

"Yesterday was the most magical day of my life . . ." Reed tweeted Monday. Echoed McDonald on his own Twitter page, "Yesterday was the most amazing day of my life. Everything was perfect. I'm officially a MARRIED MAN! Woohoo!"

Reed, who plays Rosalie Hale of the Cullen clan in each of the five vampire-romance "Twilight" movies, and season-10 American Idol guitarist and singer-songwriter McDonald had met at the premiere of the film "Red Riding Hood" in March. He moved into her Los Angeles home a month later. Reed confirmed the engagement to People magazine the day after hinting at it during the MTV Movie Awards.

McDonald, ironically, told Us at the time, "I haven't ever actually watched any of her movies. I don't know too much of her career at all, but the person she is is super cool."
