After just a few months of dating, "Twilight" starlet Nikki Reed and "American Idol" finalist Paul McDonald are engaged.
Reed, 23, who plays Rosalie Hale of the Cullen clan in each of the four vampire-romance "Twilight" movies, confirmed the news to People magazine Monday after having suggested it was so at the MTV Movie Awards Sunday night.
"He's the one. He's the one," she emphasized on the red carpet when E! News asked if she thought she and McDonald, 26, should wed.
Though the two, who met at the premiere of the film "Red Riding Hood" in March, already live together, they plan to buy a house now that they're getting married.
"Paul and I want a bigger place," she told People. "His music is so important to him and to me, and so I want to give him a whole separate space for it. . . . It will be good, and it will help him be creative."
Not that he needs much prompting.
"He was singing to me the entire time I was getting ready today," she said at the awards ceremony. "Most people would be like, 'It's enough. Put down the guitar!' I'm like, 'Listen, if you want to sit on the couch and drink a beer and play guitar all day every day, I encourage it.' "
She herself might rein back on films, she told E!, saying, "I really want to do some theater and go back to school . . . I have a business-oriented mind and my brother is taking a marketing class right now and I think it's something I really want to do."
As for the inevitable question of whether getting married in a whirlwind romance is wise, "I love him," she told People. "And I don't care."
