After the announcement that Amanda Knox would walk free, Twitter exploded with reactions from news-watchers all over the world, and celebrities didn't hesitate to jump into the conversation and share their thoughts.

As with other major issues, celebs expressed varying views when Amanda Knox's guilty verdict was overturned. Knox was convicted in the murder of her British roommate, Meridith Kercher, four years ago.
Some celebrities were bold in their reactions to the news, while others tried to remain more neutral.

Singer and TV personality Nick Lachey got a lot of attention for his tweet in Knox's favor, which was published on several news sites.

He posted: "Congratulations to Amanda Knox and the Knox family for the overturning of her guilty verdict in Italy. What a relief it must be for them!!"

Comedian David Spade took another approach, by joking about the future of Knox.

"This Amanda Knox thing is unsettling," he tweeted. "Let's get her out of jail and into Maxim as soon as possible."

Still, most celebrities, like reality stars Kyle Richards and Jill Zarin, took a more serious approach by sending their thoughts to the Knox and Kercher families.
