'Guardians of the Galaxy' tops 2014 box office
The Marvel superheroes summer movie "Guardians of the Galaxy" was the top-grossing film at the North American box office in 2014, taking in $332.9 million, The Associated Press reports. Others in the top 10: "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1" ($308.9); "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" ($259.8); "The Lego Movie" ($257.8); "Transformers: Age of Extinction" ($245.4); "Maleficent" ($241.4); "X-Men: Days of Future Past" ($233.9); "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" ($208.6); "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" ($202.9) and "Big Hero 6" ($201.5).
